As an Influencer, I attended a special event hosted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogher.com\/clicktracker.php?nid=2435068&#038;cid=2435055&#038;url=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F29VWGkk\" rel=\"nofollow\">Vagisil<\/a>, and although I expected it to be fun (because these BlogHer sponsor events are usually fun), the event surpassed my expectations \u2013 it was not only fun but so informative too!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 18.0pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12781\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-1.jpg\" alt=\"Vagisil ProHydrate\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Three very knowledgeable women, all experts in their field &#8211; including&nbsp;<\/span>Dr. Sherry Ross, an award winning OB-GYN, &nbsp;Keech Combe Shetty, Co-CEO of Combe Inc., the makers of Vagisil and the granddaughter of the founders of Vagisil and&nbsp;<span>Naama Bloom, founder of HelloFlo and SVP of Integrated Marketing at SheKnows Media.&nbsp;<\/span>&nbsp;I<\/span>t was a room full of curious and engaging influencers, and the conversation was very pivotal for me. We discussed why the world is still uncomfortable with saying \u2018vagina\u2019. They \u2013 both men and women \u2013 treat it like a dirty word. Even I am guilty of doing the same. I try to write around the word, and I\u2019d rather give it funny (<strong style=\"line-height: 1.4em; font-size: 13.008px;\">re: weird<\/strong>) names like&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 1.4em; font-size: 13.008px;\">cookie jar<\/em>,&nbsp;<em style=\"line-height: 1.4em; font-size: 13.008px;\">honey pot,&nbsp;kitty kat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>And in retrospect, I don\u2019t understand why I did this. The vagina&nbsp;is, after all, a real body part. It\u2019s vital in the creation of life. It\u2019s such a forbidden word that Microsoft Word underlines it as wrong but doesn\u2019t offer a suggestion, and my phone\u2019s autocorrect always changes it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 18.0pt;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 18.0pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12782\" src=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-2.jpg\" alt=\"Vagisil-2\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-2.jpg 750w, https:\/\/verastic.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Vagisil-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Vagisil event literally started with us saying the word, vagina. It was a kind of catharsis to release our inhibitions. We were told about how networks still don\u2019t like to say vagina on air, no matter the reason.
