My mom always says that it’s only an open mouth that gets fed, so today I’m opening my mouth because I want to get fed. I’m talking about getting fed with connections.<\/p>\n

I cannot do it all alone. I need you.<\/p><\/div>\n

I’ve been blogging for nine years now, and its been great. Oh, my God, nine! \u00a0I am so grateful that among many other things, Verastic is now also financially rewarding. From sponsored posts to sidebar ads to reviews to videos, I have been doing them all. However, now I want more.<\/p>\n

I take my time a lot when I want to do something, sometimes to my own detriment. I like to think about it a lot, research it, pray on it, obsess over it — then I finally do it. Sometimes I don’t. That’s why although I started blogging in 2006, it wasn’t until 2013 that I started monetizing the blog. And even then, I only started in June.<\/p>\n

Now that I gave entered the world of\u00a0 monetizing my blog, I love it, and I want to do more of it. That’s where you come in. I need connections, Sweet Potatoes. I need you to help me sell my market, and I am not ashamed to say so.<\/p>\n

Bloggers can work\/collaborate in just about any industry today, and I like to think that I am pretty darn good at what I do. So maybe you work for a big tech company or maybe you work in print or digital media. Or maybe you work with Etisalat or MTN in Nigeria and they’re having a nice show and they need some fresh face to host (not a comedian). Or maybe you work with Obama. Or with Oprah. Or with the people of the Empire show or Scandal or Homeland or Game of Thrones or Dancing with the Stars or with some nice company in Abu Dhabi … Can you hook your Vera up?<\/p>\n

You know I want to be on television, and I know I’ve said it many, many times, but I don’t know how serious you are taking me. There is so much I need and want to do, so I’m writing this here today because if there is one thing I know for sure about blogging, it’s that you never know who’s reading. But beyond being on television, I want to collaborate and work directly with brands on projects, events, etc.<\/p>\n

If you are in the position to hire me for a gig, then please do. If you are not in the position to hire me, then please sleep with the person in position and get your girl a job. \u00a0Consider it a charity donation. You will be rewarded with a master suite in heaven. Or seven virgins, if you’re into that sort of thing.<\/p>\n
