I don’t know about you, but I am just about done with this summer. It. Is. So. Hot. And I have told you many times how I don’t care to be in a 90 degree weather, much less 100 degrees. But you know what I’m always here for? A cocktail, just the way I like it. I am usually very afraid of mixing drinks because I’m not a bartender, so I never know what to mix or how much to mix, but with the Alizé Passion, because you can practically drink it from the bottle, you can’t go wrong.
For the purpose of this post, I played with the Alizé Red Passion. I followed the very simple recipe and decided to make the Red Carpet because I liked the name. In addition to 3 oz of Alizé Red Passion, you only need two other ingredients: 3 oz of champagne of sparkling wine and a lime twist to garnish it. That’s all you need — unless you’re Vera and you decide to tweak the recipe. You know how I love tweaking recipes.
Well, instead of 3 oz of champagne, I used 2 oz instead. And instead of a lime twist, I used an orange wedge instead. And guess what else I added? I added about half oz of pineapple juice. Igwe LOVED it. I took pictures of him drinking, but he banned me from sharing them. Igwe said the pineapple had an after taste – the good kind. After his first sip, he tried very hard to figure out what that taste was.
Alizé is a line of premium liquers imported from France. I think I’d automatically want to taste anything from France. Because France. It infuses premium French vodka (French again!) with passion fruit nectar and natural flavors from all over the world. It opens easily – just with a twist – and like I said earlier, you can just pour it and drink up without doing anything to it. Alizé Passion comes in three fruity flavors: Gold Passion, Red Passion, and Bleu Passion.
It’s probably hot where you are, so just imagine a cold glass taste of my special Red Carpet cocktail going down your throat. Imagine it.
