This past weekend, I decided to cook some efo soup; it was my very first time cooking efo soup. If I had known it was such an effortless activity, I would have done it sooner. I cooked a rather small pot of soup because it was my trial soup, and I was not sure how it would turn out. I’m not sure how well to convey the goodness of this soup. Well, let me put it this way: my mom literally chased me around the kitchen island. Yes, she wanted more of my efo soup.
My only regret is that I did not cook a bigger pot of soup. Oh, the other regret is that I did not have any pounded yam, so I had to eat it with farina. Sigh. Farina just doesn’t have the same effect as pounded yam. It does not glide. It just passes through. You probably don’t need me to tell you that this soup, too, is a sure husband getter. And permanent keeper. I just need to cook both soups, and then, go to a male-infested, testosterone-breeding ground and serve it to them. Unfortunately, the male bathroom is not suitable. Some other time, I guess.

First.

Anonymous: Congrats on being first. Per being a verrorist, is that your way of saying you want some of my soup?
Cici: Tehehe. In that case, my job here is done
Azazel: I like okra too. In fact, I LOVE okra! It's been my favorite soup for the longest time. I now find myself day dreaming about cooking a bunch of food and inviting people over. Oh, Lord. What has gotten into me? lol.
KG: You're not an efo first timer?!?! Ah!! We have to rectify that oh. I'll force it down your throat, if I have to
The efo was just so good; I could not believe myself. LOL.
Nice Anon: Yes, indeed! Okra is some very, very good stuff. And I hear it's also very healthy. Even better ….!
Bonnie: I'm Igbo too. I learned about efo soup from my Yoruba friends. In fact, what I failed to mention was that Funmie told me how to cook it (over the phone). It's really, really good. I have to do ora soup too; I have not attempted that one yet. Tutorials are currently being sold for three easy payments of $299.99 Hehehehe.
UnderCover07: I don't mind giving you the recipe ooo! But ehm, you'll first have to send me three easy payments of $299.99 Hehe. E-mail me, love.
Myne Whitman: You people and this Mr. Shoes ehn! He's taking my shine; I'll soon ban his name from being mentioned here sef. Hehe. I cooked my efo soup with tomatoes and spinach leaves, but you can use collard greens, if you prefer.
Blowing Blessings: All of you that want the recipe(s) ehn….! I'm tired of saying you should send me three easy payments of $299.99, but if you're serious, just e-mail me.
Gee: Hahahaha. I don ready abi? I don RIPE!! Haha. If my husband meskafunks, I'll just overfeed him; that should keep him quiet, yes? lol.
Oge: Hahahaha. Oh, what I would give to see a picture of you salivating. Especially in the office. Well, yes, that's stew in it. E-mail me, and I'll gladly send you the recipe.
FluffyCuteThing: Hahaha. Your son ehn? I sure don't mind. I'll be your daughter-in-law? Yippee!! Imagine all the gossips we could have, but bia, this woman, why do I get the feeling that after your son and I get married, you'll permanently relocate to our house — with your husband? Hmmmph. Anyway, let him go ahead and pay the bride price. We'll take it from there.
Caramel D: LOL. So what are you implying? That I'm not nice? Bia, respect yourself oh. As for Mr. Shoes, he'll have to come here and answer for himself. LOL @ the high def quality picture. Blame it on Nikon.
N.I.M.M.O: Hehehe. Well, it's not an ad, but I am deeply humbled and proud – all at once – that you think my soups' pictures are good enough to be ads. Tehehe. If Mr. Shoes has competition(s), then it's a good thing. I don't mind having supplier power. Marriage, after all, can sometimes be like business. Uhm… so, if you know any of these men, direct them to me ASAP!
Ms. O: I intend to cook a lot more oh! This is just the beginning, and when I do, I'll serenade you all with pictures.
JustJoxy: "Long throat." Who said I'll share the recipe with you? Well, I will — if you pay me three easy payments of $299.99
BSNC: Hahaha. You did, huh? I'm guessing you liked it then? I'm surprised I didn't find dogs at my door, waiting for my food. Ah, but this is America. The dogs are American too. LOL.
Anonymous: Congrats on starting your blog; it's just the first step. Now you must keep writing! Congrats. Will check it out in a bit, and thank you for liking my blog
Caramel D: Aww. You're welcome, love. I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for listening, for asking, and for wanting to co-host. Thank you.
Standtall: I guess we can now both agree that I am a significant addition to your life then? I mean, what would you do without me? LOL.
Fabulola: And the real answer is: ask Mr. Shoes! Yeye girl. Don't let me lay my hands on you.
Anonymous: Hahahaha. If your belle is grumbling, then I guess my work here is done. I think I can hear your tummy actually.
Chie see as Vera dan make Hunger catch me now …nice!
U had me drooling on my laptop. Fantastic pictures, sorry soup….LOL
The soup looks SOOOO good…perfect for a cold winter day!! I've never heard of Efo, though, but it sure looks delicious!!! I'd say any man who marries you is gonna be one very happy guy!
NaijaBloke: That's what you get for leaving me for Temite. Tell me, does Temite cook yummy dishes like this one for you? Tell me, does she? I bet she doesn't!
Beulah: I sure hope your laptop is water-resistant. Or at least, drool-resistant?
Helene: Tehehe. Preach on! If you can, please tell it on the mountains… and over the hills … and everywhere. Okay, I'll stop the poor rendition of that song, Go Tell It On The Mountains. Efo soup is a Nigerian soup, and I would totally love to cook it for you and the double twins some day

Ibiluv: Thanks, honey. But was your soup as good as mine? Impossicant!
Temmy Tayo: I wouldn't usually do this favor for other people, but because it's you, I jejely DHLed the soup to you. I suggest you go and stand at your door right now and wait for DHL.
Tigeress: Where? Is it between me and the soup? By the way, whatever happened to you coming to MD before Christmas?
MyPenMyPaper: LOL! See, the way you just described the okra soup, I could not resist swallowing a big gulp of spit. I do, in fact, know that feeling of good okra soup gliding through your throat. Good stuff.
My favorite client, Merry Xmas! As we are trying to get that proposal, kindly send me the recipes to those soups. I shall reward you abundantly.
Luscious Ron: E-mail me, boo. I'll send you the recipes.
wow, these stew pics are such that someone can just stare at early in the morning and be energized for feeding fat.
I bet if you show these to anyone sick who claims to have lost appetite, he or she would be back in this hungry world asap.
These are some mouth watering, tongue itching, saliva enhancing pictures, the only thing that comes to my mind is: LORD LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
If I can find a wife to give me these everyday, in fact, you know what: "I'll do" forever and forever.
