Ladies & Gentlemen, Igwe And I Are Now God Parents!

Baby Amaka Ezimora

I am so freaking excited right now. Well, I've been excited for the past week since Solachi had a baby and we became god parents. I couldn't mention the pregnancy on the blog because Solachi warned me to never, ever mention on the blog or on social media that she's pregnant. Our baby finally came on Wednesday, March 11th 2015, weighing a little over six pounds, and two days ago (March 18th), we celebrated my baby's naming. I won't even bother telling you her official names because what matters Continue Reading

A Onesie For My Future Son

My son's onesie

I cannot possibly be the only one who buys clothes for my unborn children, right? Don't worry, I don't have a trunk full of them, just a few. I started buying clothes for my unborn children long time ago. They're not anything too serious, but just items with funny one-liners written on them, like the yellow pair of socks and matching hat that says, 'Daddy's Little Alarm Clock.' I totally agree! I also have a bunch of onesies, and I LOVE onesies. In fact, I intend to get myself an adult onesie. Continue Reading

So … About My Pregnancy

Baby Bump

It was totally Funmie's idea to lie to you people AND to not tell you the truth until today. I refused, but she made a convincing argument. I haven't read all the comments yet because yesterday was cray-cray for me, but judging from Funmie's laughter when she called me last night, I anticipate some good, good stuff. I'm gonna go reply the comments once this is posted. Igwe was in on it, too. He told people on Twitter that I was indeed pregnant, and he accepted the congratulations that people Continue Reading

My Big News: Igwe And I Are Expecting :D

I stared at this blank page forever because I couldn't figure out how to start it. I didn't know what to say first, or how to say it. For the past seven years, I have shared my life with you on here. You have been with me from when I was a student, from when I was very single, from when I was dating other guys, from when my relationships failed, from when I met men, from when I met Igwe, from when Igwe proposed, and till now. I always imagined the day I'd tell you this, but I never knew how it Continue Reading

Which Famous Baby Is This?

Which child star is this?

The baby on the right is a famous woman today. Can you tell who she is? I'll come back to update you on who she is. Don't worry, I'll keep my word. I won't leave you hanging. Any ideas? If you guess right, there'll be an extra pillow in your room in heaven - assuming you make it there :D UPDATE: Yup! This is indeed FLOTUS, Michelle Obama! (I think I need to make these a little harder) Continue Reading

Who Is Kim’s Actual Baby Daddy? And Other Stories

Kim and Kanye

Okay, I'll admit it ... I am shocked and happy that Kim Kardashian and Kanye are STILL together. It's like everyday I read something about them, I'm surprised all over again. Unless they are giving us some bad ass photo ops, I think it's safe to say that these two are genuinely happy. And for some reason, I'm genuinely happy for them, too. Sometimes, we easily forget that these celebrities are just people, and they probably want what we all want: love, peace, joy, etc. In spite of my doubts, Continue Reading

My Weekend Recount: A Baby Shower & Other Stories

Last week, I decided to start telling you about what I did over the weekend. This is because I have convinced myself that you are remotely interested in what I did over the weekend. Please indulge me. Friday: It was a movie date with Igwe. BV (Before Vera), Igwe did not go to movies a lot. But before, I definitely went to see a lot of movies. I’ve always loved the movie theatre. It remains one of my favorite fun-things-to-do. So I dragged Igwe to go see Snow White & The Huntsman. From the Continue Reading

Contrary To Popular Belief

Crying babies are actually not cute. Maybe they're cute to their parents - especially their mothers, but they're not cute to me. No, I do not want to hear your crying baby while I'm talking with you on the phone. No, I don't want you to put your crying baby on the phone to say hello to Aunty. No, I don't want to be disrupted by your crying baby while I'm listening to the sermon. No, I don't want to sing a lullaby to him/her/it while Desperate Housewives is on. Continue Reading
