I discovered a new site yesterday. It’s called Emergency Compliment. The whole idea of it is when you are feeling crappy, just go there and read something happy. It tells you things like, “You’re not crazy, they are 100% into you,” and “All your friends worry they are not as funny as you.”
You get two options: if you’re feeling better, you click on “Thanks! I feel better” and if you’re not feeling better, then you click on “I still feel crappy,” after which another feel-good message will be displayed. Although I wasn’t feeling crappy when I visited the site, I still thought it was silly anyway. Like who would feel better reading this. So I kept clicking on the second button, and it kept displaying more messages. It was all null and void until I saw this one.
With a shameless wide grin on my face, I quickly clicked the button saying I feel better. I was then redirected to a page to purchase my feel-good message for $14.56.
I did not purchase it, but I still feel better. Thanks to Emergency Compliment. Whew!! That was so close.
