This post has been sitting in draft since Friday. My apologies. Whether you have an iPhone or not, you’ve probably heard of Siri, born through iPhone 4S on October 4th 2011. Well, now we know whose voice Siri has. It’s the voice of Susan Bennett, a voice over actress from Georgia.
According to Susan, she recorded her voice for Apple in July of 2005, for four hours a day, everyday. And at the time, she had no idea where it would end up. When Apply launched the iPhone 4S in 2011, Susan did not know her voice was on it (she didn’t have the phone) until people that knew her started asking if it was her.
Susan also works for several other companies, like Delta Airlines. You know that voice that comes up and thanks you for choosing Delta Airlines? That’s Susan, too. Amazing! Those are the kind of random things I really think about sometimes. Like, do they clean every part of the airport everyday? Cause airports are usually very clean. You can also hear her on several GPS systems. Now I wonder if she’s the one on my Android GPS device.
