Remember last week when I told you that I'll be getting a laser treatment? I bet you thought I was joking. Well, I wasn't. I got it done on October 4th. It was a Saturday morning and my appointment was at 9:30 AM. I got there about 10 minutes early. I made myself a cup of coffee and sat down to fill out the medical history form. Jacqueline was there to welcome me. I met her during my free consultation.
The nurses are so friendly. After my form was filled, one nurse took me into the treatment room to go over the form I filled. She wanted to make sure that I didn't mistakenly leave out some vital information. She asked if I was okay and if I needed anything. It was almost as if I was checking into a hotel. Maybe I was.
After that. I went into the changing room to take my pants off and cover up with a drape. Then my nurse, Lindsay, a nurse pracitioner came in. She was really, really friendly. I lay on the bed, face up. I was given protective lens to protect me from the laser light and I was also given stress balls to squeeze, if I needed. I ended up needing them.
Before the treatment, I expressed my feear of what the discomfort would feel like. Well, now I know. I'd describe as putting alcohol on a paper cut, and then blowing warm air on it. There were areas where there wasn't even any "discomfort" but closer to the tender areas, I squeezed hard on the stress balls. It was during these times that I wondered what I had gotten myself into. But as soon as she went away from the tender parts, I breathed a sigh of relief and I was glad again that I was getting a treatment.
Because I did the full bikini area, at some point, I had to lie on my belly, so she could treat between the cheeks. I truly felt sorry for her for having to do that. The good news, though, was that there was no discomfort. If anything, I prayed that a fart wouldn't mistakenly escape. That would have been so embarrassing. It took about 25 minutes to complete, and my next appointment is in December. They have to do the treatment 9 times, so one down and eight to go.

So will the hair ever grow back??? How does it work? I sound so silly.

No, not silly at all. You have valid questions. From what I understand, the hair isn’t supposed to grow back after all the treatments.

Aunty Vera, i had to read the post twice, is it me or what. Ideal Image Laser Hair removal, i swear i thought you went for the laser eye surgery till i read it was the “down there” surgery. The name of the clinic is interesting in the sense that ” ideal image” and “laser hair removal” are in the same sentence.
Nice.

Loool. I see the confusion. But no, that’s not the kind of image they deal with. Lol.
