Did Beyonce Lip Sync Or Not?

That is the question that has been on our minds. See, I didn’t think of it, nor did I even notice it, until it went viral online that she did lip sync. Or maybe she didn’t. While no one has ever paid me money to sing at an event – for good reason – I would think that singing at an event like the President’s inauguration would require as much authenticity as possible. That said, an event like the President’s inauguration would also put all kinds of pressure on a person. Even when said person is Beyonce.

If you listen to the video below which is said to be recorded by a camera that was not plugged to the major mic feed, it sounds like you can hear Beyonce’s voice twice, like maybe she had a back-up singer that sounded just like her. What I deduce from this – after watching several videos of this performance, including the live one – is that she prerecorded the anthem AND she did lip sync, too. Look at it like her being her own back up singer.

I do not say this as a Beyonce fan because really, I don’t think I am, especially considering what fan means. I’m just indifferent. She won’t make or break anything for me. But watch the video and tell me what you think. Maybe you feel differently?

P.S. One thing that I do know for sure is that Beyonce is one of those people who is easily loved or hated for all kinds of reasons. There are people who love her because of her success, and there are people who hate her for the same reason. Personally, I love how private she is with her, you know, private life.

P.P.S. In other news, I absolutely love her emerald green earrings.

P.P.P.S. In true Beyonce fashion, I expect that she will not say a word about this incident. She will let us do all the speculations while she sits back and laughs. Smart woman.

  1. Whether she lip synced or not…. the event is over, the lady has been paid, and we all know that she can sing
