Yippee!!! I am now officially a weekly vlogger. I’m nervous and excited. In this week’s episode, I take you through my first week in Nigeria, starting from the Washington Dulles International Airport. My parents now stay in Mangu, a local government that is about 40 minutes away from Jos. In my opinion, Mangu is a village, but my mommy disagrees (I think dad agrees).
Anyway, enjoy the video. New episode coming next week Wednesday. Before you ask, the name of the song is Hallelujah, and it’s one of the songs that I currently have on reply. Find him on Twitter, and buy Hallelujah on iTunes/Apple Music.
Don’t forget to subscribe.

Very nice song! Did I miss the post in which you shared why away for 16 years, and what prompted you to finally visit?
Vera Ezimora says
Hi Kome! Song is great indeed. I know you’ve found the post you were asking about.
Brooms says
Wow, wonderful documentary. Very enjoyable. Ada Verastic pretty no be small. I can see where she gets her yellow from..granmaa! You looked happy and relaxed. I know the feeling when am away from the US. Do you see yaself living there longterm? Sounds like you took to it well.
Vera Ezimora says
Hey Brooms,
Thanks a lot! It was weird that although I hadn’t been home in 16 years, I felt so at ease being home. I definitely see myself living in Naija long term. But certain things will have to be in place first. And thanks for the compliments about my mommy 🙂
Nneka chime says
Awww…I confess u made me cry…and seeing auntys face again gave me some kinda joy…seeing ur dad too…God bless them.
Vera Ezimora says
Amen. Amen. Thank you, Nneka!! It’s been a long time 🙂
Azzy says
this was fun to watch
i always cringe at sharing so much of myself online
you do it effortlessly
more power to your elbow
Vera Ezimora says
Azzy, thank you so much! If I do it effortlessly, it’s because I have people like you to hold me up. Thank you.
Nkiru says
I enjoyed every bit of this video. Your mum is sooooo beautiful. That sexy looking egusi soup will haunt me for the rest of this year. I just know it!
Vera Ezimora says
Hahahaha. You called the egusi soup sexy. Girl, that soup was as good as it tasted. Thank you so much for your kind compliment about my mommy.
Uchechi says
Enjoyed the vlog…pls keep it coming, lol. Your mom is very beautiful. Ada Verastic is such a cutie! I miss Jos so much. Looks like your Lufthansa flight was comfortable, love that they provided a bassinett for Ada Verastic.
Opening an account in Nigeria is something I really want to do too. Vera, do you think this can be done online? Or maybe I should just wait until I get there…
Vera Ezimora says
Hi Uchechi!
Thanks a lot for watching. I missed Jos a lot too before I went. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can ever live in Jos again. Lufthansa was a very pleasant flight for me. Per the bank account, don’t let me give you wrong information oh. I have no idea if you can open your bank account online, but considering how difficult it was to open the account face to face, I can only imagine that it will probably be twice as hard to open it online. But you can try sha; I don’t know for sure.
Manny says
I opened a GTB account from the US and it was suprisingly quite easy to do. Google GTB non-residential account
Chisom says
I cant believe i watched this video to the end…wow! Nice documentary…your mum is hot…very gorgeous. But Vera, you can act in a movie ooo…lol
Vera Ezimora says
Chisom, thanks a lot for watching! 😀
Cam says
Aww! You look like your dad but with your mom’s complexion. Lol @ when mom said “ima aju ajuju” (you know how to ask questions). Typical for Igbo moms with sarcasm. I love her already and yea she’s beautiful too.
Glad you were home. Bless xx
Vera Ezimora says
Cam, I didn’t even know someone would hear that part when my mom said that. Lol. If there’s one thing my mommy does too well, it’s being sarcastic. My grandma is even worse. But yeah, all my life I’ve been told that I look like dad and I have mom’s color.
Chizzy says
I definitely miss Jos..
seeing Net Cafe, Onigbinde and the entire Ahamdu Bello way/Terminus is just so nostalgic..
Ada is definitely bae..
Vera Ezimora says
Yeah, girl, I felt the same way. It was so weird being on Ahmadu Bello Way again … and so much was different.
peter says
Awww! were you crying ? lol.
You baby- Ada verastic is so pretty.OMG
Can i still apply for my baby brother even though i know Sisi Yemmie’s Tito has started winking at her.
Vera Ezimora says
Thank you, Peter. And yes, I was crying lol. Please oh, you can definitely get your baby brother to apply because Sisi Yemmie is cheating on me. She’s busy finding other wives for Tito, so we, too, cannot put all our eggs in one basket.
Ola says
Man!! Vera I see where the Ucha is from Mom and Body from Dad. Ada Verastic is BAE/BOO. I did not know Mom has not meet her yet until your trip. I got emotional there.
I will like to open an account in Nigerian but from what you are saying, it will wait until I go home. Very very emotional going back home after that many years.
Vera Ezimora says
Ola, yes indeed oh! Very emotional indeed. It was surreal for me; couldn’t believe that I was in Nigeria, my home, after so long. Thank you for the compliments! Per the bank account, save yourself the stress
Aribaba says
Ima aju ajuju lol… Love your mom
Vera Ezimora says
Lol. Don’t mind her. Always being sarcastic.
