Recently, I have been erratic in my comment-responding, and I sincerely apologize. I see the comments, and I read every one of them, but because we are moving, I barely have time to sit and respond. It’s a miracle that I even have the time to put up blog posts. I literally have to squeeze time out of no time to put the posts up.
My daily schedule has consisted of running to the store every day to buy something, return something, or exchange something. Or calling the cable guy. Or the insurance guy. Or the mattress guy. And then, when I come home, it’s back to, Oh-my-God, what do I pack next?
I was going to take a picture of the current state of our apartment so you can see the mess, but it turns out that even I, have some shame left within me. Honestly, the real reason is that I am way too tired and lazy to get up from this bed and take a picture. But if you really want to know what Igwe and I look like right now, I can describe it to you. You see the couple in the picture above? Well, we look NOTHING like that. And I’m not just referring to their skin color.
This couple has the time to stand naked in a box and kiss outside in front of the moving truck. Igwe and I are still fighting over whose stuff gets thrown in the trash, and why on earth my stuffed animals are still coming to the new apartment. Someone needs to tell him to stay away from my stuffed animals. I do not negotiate! They are coming with me.
It’s a real joy and blessing, honestly, to be moving because it’s a new phase for us. And it helps that I absolutely love this apartment. I just have to figure out how to make the space work for us. Our clothes and shoes may need an apartment of their own. If all else fails, Igwe’s clothes will stay in the boxes. By the way, I really think he has a shirt in every color.
So, it may not be till next week that I will be able to really respond to your comments, but be rest assured that I am reading them, and they are keeping me sane. Here’s to 2013.

Yay!! to a new apartment. Wish you speed, strength and sanity in the midst of it all.
Yup. Definitely need the sanity. LOL. Thank you!
Ehn you could have hired my professional service ehn. But enjoy the move dear
Ahhh. Why didn’t you tell me sooner?
Awww…. so happy for you and chairman. All the best to both of you. Oh and keep up the good work with keeping us posted, it sure is not easy.
Thank you, Oby!! For real, for real, it ain’t easy keeping up with keeping you posted. But I love it shaaaaa
Aww, good for y’all. I’m sure moving will be fun. We moved in December and it was great to be in a new place but the process of getting there was sometimes frustrating and we argued a few times especially over stuff to throw out! lol.
Girrrlllll, next time, don’t argue. Just throw his stuff out when he’s not looking and then pretend not to have a clue where it is. Works every time.
Note to Igwe if he is reading: my comment to EDJ is not an admittance of guilt.
Hey sweets…..wish you and Igwe luck with the new phase. I hope I still get to be a little bride.
Thank you, darling! And of course, you will definitely be the little bride. Why not, if not?
