Happy Valentine’s Day, Sweet Potatoes! And so it begins! Today, I have the pleasure of introducing my number one Sweet Potato, Enyemaka. She’s number one because she’s the first person who reached out to me to be featured after I published the call to be featured. Without further ado, let’s get to know her (and at the end, you’ll read my official response to Enyemaka).
Her initial email to me: Hi Verastic! Loyal sweet potato here. My name is Enyemaka Nnodimele. I’m a daughter, wife, mom to an almost 3year old daughter (where did all the time go?) and a 3-month-old son), and a nurse. I’m Nigerian (full blooded onye Igbo) [Igbo person].
From My Heart to Enyemaka:
You are a twin??? Whattttt!!!! Enyemaka, what you’re doing is not good oh! I have been complaining for years that I want confusingly identical twin boys, and not once did you email me to introduce me to your parents, so I can ask them how they did it so I can do it, too Odiro kwa mma! [It’s not good oh!]
Enyemaka, I really, really appreciate what you said about me responding to your comments. This is because I never feel like I’m doing enough with the comments. Sometimes I get busy and don’t get to respond, and I feel soooooo guilty. But the fact that you have even noticed me trying means everything. Thank you! I will strive to do more.
Thank you for being a Sweet Potato (and for being number #1).
P.S. I LOVE your name.
P.P.S. What kind of Nigerian person does not eat goat meat? We will cancel your passport oh!

Finally, another Nigerian that don’t eat goat me. My family and friends think I’m weird.
Vera Ezimora says
You people are weird oh! You and Enyemaka are strange to me, lol. But not to worry, I love you all the same. At least, when I’m with you, I know my goat meat will not be short.
