Last Friday, Igwe just had to attend his co-worker’s birthday celebration at a restaurant in Towson. Usually on Fridays, we do something together. Could be going to see a movie, or renting one to see at home, or eating out, or going shopping, or just staying home to gist and hang out. Whatever. But this particular Friday, he had to go out, and it was more annoying because I got a late notification. So after he was gone, I started working on my advertising price list. After I got tired, I ordered some Chinese food and watched television. Because you know, it was Friday, and I don’t bother with cooking on Fridays.
It was all fun until I got tired of staring at the television. Turns out, TV isn’t half as fun when you mute the volume. The contrary can be said for Tonto’s songs. I’m sorry; that was so immature of me to say that *slaps self across the face, gets a whip lash* So as I was saying, I got bored. I decided to go through my lip sticks and lip colors. One by one, I tried each of them until I tried them all; I wiped each one off with make-up remover before moving on to the next round. I threw away 14 lipsticks and lip colors, some brand new. Then I decided to paint my face completely. The picture above was the final product. But before that ….
1. L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in the Golden Emerald shade. You can find out where to purchase one here.
2. A drop of my foundation (the big drop) and a drop of my concealer (the little drop). I only use the concealer for my eyebrows. And I know the foundation looks small, but that’s the amount I have always used. The Lancome make-up artist told me that I didn’t need more than that.
3. The handiwoman’s tools.
This was my very first time trying out my liquid eye liner (which I’ve had for over a month). Obviously, I need some more practice.
I was not thinking of captioning these pictures when I took them, nor was I even planning on putting them on my blog. These pictures were taken out of sheer boredom. So, my captions:
Picture 1: Uhm, no, that’s not what he was thinking.
Picture 2: Hmm. Maybe that is what he was thinking.
Picture 3: Oh, so that’s how you’re gonna act, huh?
Picture 4: Seriously, you’re pissing me off.
Picture 5: You think this is funny?
Lesson learned: There’s no telling what I might do when I am left alone at home. And just to be clear, I did not do this photo shoot of myself to tell you how to apply your make-up et al. The day will come for that. If I had known that I’d put these pictures up, maybe I’d have put a little bit more effort into it.
P.S. Shout out to my Samsung Galaxy SIII phone. Your picture quality continues to amaze me. Are you sure you’re a phone?

This is what boredom does to you huh…I know! Now, don’t complain when I dance and do my music videos.
You need to practice on me and I can practice my eyebrows effect on you 😀
Vera Ezimora says
Don’t even compare this to you dancing in front of the mirror. I dance in front of the mirror, too, but not when I’m in California and going late for a wedding. And yeah, we can totally practice.
Ginger says
Wow Vera, Your skin is flawless..or is that Samsung SIII effect?
Vera Ezimora says
Ginger, I never consider myself flawless in any department, but I do hope that this supposed flawless ness you speak of is real, not the Samsung effect. Lol.

The make up gud, u’ve always been gud at it and the hair is awesome, i really wish i could make something like this soon
Vera Ezimora says
Kay, all you have to do is start practicing. And you don’t have to do it when you’re going out. You can just sit home one day and paint yourself. Most of my makeup applying tips are self- taught. But you can start with YouTube videos too. They’re pretty helpful.

Let me go read this Tonto Dike post, I still don’t know what he/she has done but I’ve seen that name around lately.
Vera Ezimora says
You don’t even know if Tonto is makers or female. Looool! Well, go enjoy. And yeah, I remember the days of the green eyes, fun times! Lol
