Ladies, you know that beauty products make me weak in the knees. I haven’t been to a beauty store for a while, and it’s not because I don’t want to go. No, it’s because I DO want to go, but I am afraid of the kind of financial damage I will do to my pocket when I get there. But guess who came a-knocking on my door? Conair!!! I tell you, one day, this blog will have me doing a sleep over at the Obama’s.
So Conair is currently running a campaign called, Ready, Set, Glow. And the whole point is to show how you can achieve salon quality skin and hair in half the time AND half the price. To test this, I had the pleasure of trying out two beautiful products: Conair true glow™ Sonic Skincare Solution cleaning brush (for face and body) and Infiniti Pro by Conair® 1875 Watt Salon Performance Motor Styling Tool.
About the Conair true glow™ Sonic Skincare Solution cleaning brush (for face and body):
I have wanted to try a sonic skincare system. It has always been in my plans, but the money has never quite been there. This sonic skincare system from Conair retails for about half the price of most sonic skincare systems. This one retails for about $99. Find where to purchase here.
For my trial, I used my regular face cleansing bar (African Black Soap). I lathered the soap in my palms and rubbed it all over my face the way I’d have done anyway. I applied a little extra lather on the sonic brush, and then I started with the low setting of the brush. It has three speeds at up to 300 oscillations per second. It felt soooo good! I didn’t apply any pressure; I just moved the brush from place to place. It felt like my face was getting a deep massage, and when I took the brush off my face, my skin tingled. Why the heck did I not introduce this into my life earlier??
In some of the pictures that Igwe took of me using it, my eyes were closed. I was in heaven. Honestly, I regret not having tried this sooner. It takes only 60 seconds to do this, and you don’t have to use any special cleanser. Just use what you normally use anyway. Check out some of my pictures trying the sonic system below. The last picture was after I washed my face off, before I even dried off, and underneath that red scarf, my hair was deep conditioning.
About the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 1875 Watt Salon Performance Motor Styling Tool:
When I went natural, I read all kinds of literature and opinions about applying heat on your hair, so I stayed away. But before I traveled to San Jose for the blogging conference, I applied heat on my hair, and ladies of the jury, I loved it.
As always, I used only the warm heat and the low power. But what I found amazing was the speed in which it dried. It was so much faster! Even Igwe was surprised when I emerged from the bathroom. Usually, he has to ask, “Aren’t you done yet?”
Conair was kind enough to include some Argan oil to the package to protect hair from heat damage. Wooot! I don’t know if that’s a thing these days, but I have never received it before. The Infiniti Pro by Conair® has ceramic technology to safely dry and promote healthy hair, and I am definitely here for that. It retails for about $55.99, and you can check here for where to buy.
Below is a picture of me in action with the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 1875 Watt Salon Performance Motor Styling Tool. By the way, I know this doesn’t necessarily count as a feature of the product, but I LOVE the color. Love, love, love it. It may not mean much to you, but I am the girl who can buy a bottle of perfume for it’s bottle.

As for me, if you don’t see me on my blog for a while, it’s because I’m busy conair-sonic-ing my face.
